RABBIT LEARNS LOWERCASE LETTERS
By Darin Phillips, Illustrated by Patrice Aguilar
This is the second of four books that teach the alphabet. In this book Rabbit the Dog will make learning about all 26 English lowercase letters interesting and engaging!
Rabbit is going to learn and do even more fun alphabet things, such as:
- * Learn the most common letter names and sounds
- * Identify similarities and differences
- * Play a game to get faster and more accurate
Through five short stories, Rabbit the Dog will explore the symbols that represent lowercase letters, including several challenges that children typically face. First, 1 0 and 5 look a lot like l o and s. Then she comes up with a strategy for learning all 26 lowercase letters over the next 30 or more days. (“If Rabbit can do it, so can I!”) Rabbit also learns how to differentiate p from q or g - and d from b. Then she becomes curious about all of the sounds that the letters make - and why some make more than one sound. Finally, Rabbit creates a game to help her learn all 44 English phonemes.
